Steps of cultivation
- Prepare growth medium and generously moisten the surface
- Distribute seeds evenly and avoid partial accumulations, moisten
- Cover and weigh down with any cover (e.g. a paving stone)
- Very long germination, it occurs in 3 - 4 days
- Remove cover and transfer to aquaponics system
- After 10 to 12 days, the ripe microgreens can be harvested
- The best time is when the microgreens are approx. 7 cm tall and the real leaves are small
- Leek microgreens hold their seed coat tightly, which is usually located on the tip of the stalk. They are edible but can be removed with a gentle brush before harvesting if desired
- Harvesting should take place in the morning or evening due to cooler temperatures
